Have an errand to run that’s a mile or less away? Walk instead of  drive. This may seem like a simple tip but in the United States 25% of all trips we make are less than 1 mile yet we still make 75% of these trips by car! Not to mention the health benefits, walking instead of driving ten 1-mile trips per week averts 500 pounds of CO2 emissions per year!
